Defective Drugs & Medical Devices

Lea en español

Many Americans rely on drugs manufactured by large pharmaceutical companies for their heath and well being. Sometimes those pharmaceutical companies know of harmful side effects from the drugs they produce and fail to warn the public. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) governs the manufacture and sale of medication, but often they do not take action to recall a drug until after its hazardous effects are discovered. This can result in injury or death before the drug recall.
It is the general conception that the FDA performs all drug testing, but this is not always the case. Sometimes laboratories funded by the drug manufacturers test the drugs. Couple this with an inability to determine long term drug side effects and the result can be disastrous.
