Aldara

AldaraImiquimod, sold under the brand name Aldara, has been marketed by 3M since it was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1997. The product, first discovered during research to fight the herpes virus, has been prescribed primarily for the treatment of genital warts, certain types of skin cancer and pre-cancerous growths on thick, scaly or crusty skin. Imiquimod became generically available in 2015.

Imiquimod has been linked to a number of undesirable side effects, from itching, blisters and redness of the skin to certain “flu-like” symptoms, such as headaches, body aches and fatigue. Aldara users have also reported developing sores, dry skin and ulcers, as well as swelling and scabbing.

If you or someone you love has used Aldara and experienced detrimental side effects, GetLegal has the tools and resources to help you find skilled legal representation to protect your rights.
