NeurontinNeurontin (the product name for Gabapentin), is a pharmaceutical product manufactured and marketed by Parke-Davis, a subsidiary of Pfizer. The drug was first approved in the United States in 1993, to be used in conjunction with other medications to minimize the risk of seizures in adults. A generic version was approved for sale in 2004.

Neurontin has been prescribed for a broad range of medical conditions, from epilepsy and hot flashes to shingles. It has also been recommended for the treatment of nerve damaging disorders associated with diabetes.

Users have reported a wide array of side effects, from sleepiness and dizziness to aggressive behavior and even increased risk of suicide. Others have experienced blurred vision, fever, tremors and viral infections.
