Fraudulent misrepresentation

Fraudulent misrepresentation occurs when one person consciously decides to induce another person to rely and act on a misrepresentation, which is also called fraud. This falsification is used to persuade another to enter into a contract. The innocent party’s agreement to the contract is not authentic, and the contract is voidable by the innocent party.
