Hydroxycut

Hydroxycut is a line of dietary supplements billed primarily as weight loss aides. Before the FDA banned Ephedra in 2004, Hydroxycut used the substance in its products. Furthermore, even though MuscleTech, the manufacturer of Hydroxycut, reformulated it after 2004, it still contained a number of pharmaceutical products that were tied to liver damage in users. In 2009, the company reformulated the product again, responding to an FDA warning that consumers stop using the supplement due to risk of liver damage.

The product’s pre-2004 formulation was tied to a number of negative side effects, from seizures and heart attack/stroke risk to death. The pre-2009 product was cited by the FDA as increasing the risk of liver failure.

If you or someone you love has used Hydroxycut and experienced detrimental side effects, GetLegal has the tools and resources to help you find skilled legal representation to protect your rights.
